Skin Cancer Awareness Reminder

July is here, and that means that the summer season is at it’s hottest temperatures of the year. The days are long and hot, the nights are warm and pleasant, and there is plenty of time to do the things you long to do.

Whether your summer plans involve a trip to the beach, catching up on your favorite summer reads or just hanging out with your family, it is important to make time for yourself. It is easy to put off necessary medical care and put the needs of others first, but taking care of the people you love means taking good care of yourself.

Take Good Care of Your Health This Summer Season

There are plenty of things you can do to take good care of yourself this summer season. From slathering on the sunscreen when you head to the beach to heading indoors when you start to feel overheated, it is important to protect yourself from the harsh rays of the sun.

It is perhaps even more important to protect yourself from the serious illnesses the summer season can sometimes introduce, including emerging threats like the Zika virus. As the leading OB/GYN practice in the area, Eagles Landing takes a special interest in threats like Zika, a serious mosquito-borne illness that carries a high risk of birth defects for pregnant women and their partners. We want you to be healthy and happy all year long, and that means taking the proper precautions when you go outside this summer

Enjoy the Great Outdoors

No matter how you plan to spend your time, we want you to enjoy the great outdoors this summer. The summer season is filled with delights, and we wish you and your family the best at this special time of year. July is here and that means lots of backyard barbecues, days spent lounging by the pool and time spent catching up with family and friends.

From the upcoming Fourth of July fireworks to the unofficial end of summer on Labor Day weekend, there will be plenty of summer to enjoy. At Eagles Landing OB/GYN, our employees will be busy taking advantage of the warm weather as well, and we look forward to seeing our patients and helping them maintain their good health for the summer season and beyond. If you have not yet scheduled your annual exam, we urge you to do so today. When you come in during the summer, you do not have to worry about cold weather or other difficulties, and once you get a clean bill of health, you can get on with the rest of your summer activities.
